CAFFE CORRETTO HISTORY

The Francese family opened their first restaurant in 1971, in Melbourne, Australia. The Restaurant was an instant success because of their authentic Italian home-style pizza and pasta, and friendly service. Throughout countless years, the Francese family have created a unique and true Italian cuisine that dates back, several past generations, many being family recipes from Southern Italy.
Café Corretto opened in 1972, in the heart of Lygon Street, Carlton. Café Corretto is world-renowned for its expertise in making Corretto Pizza, Homemade Pasta, exclusive parmigiana and sizzling charcoal grilled steaks filled with remarkable flavour. Cafe Corretto welcomes everyone with its friendly service, bright atmosphere, and Formula One flair. Café Corretto is surrounded by Ferrari Passion. The Restaurant is the home of the official Ferrari Club of Melbourne and is the first restaurant in Australia, to host the Italian Scuderia Ferrari Formula One Team, and the Italian Ducati Moto GP Grand Prix Team; the Restaurant has become their home away from home each Australian GP Season.
Café Corretto maintains a personal friendship with their customers within Australia and abroad.
The Restaurant holds a strong relationship with the City of Melbourne, and sponsors events held within the Carlton Precinct. When visiting Melbourne, Australian and International Singers, Actors, Artists, Sports personalities, Formula One Fan and leading business people continually visit Café Corretto, to wine and dine, and catch up for an old friendly chat.
The Café Corretto’s mission is to serve you and to serve you again. The Family have built an excellent reputation for their traditional cuisines, which stands strong today. Café Corretto has three participating generations living with the Café Corretto dream and all have the intention to continue their national and international restaurant as a traditional family affair.
